Soccer Game Preview: Jefferson vs. Middle Park

Jefferson is 0-8 against Middle Park since May of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Jeff Saint will head out on the road to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Jefferson has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They lost 6-0 to Englewood on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Englewood are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Middle Park made sure to put some goals up on the board against Fort Lupton on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bluedevils a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Middle Park in their matchups with Fort Lupton: they've now won four in a row.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Middle Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Jefferson might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Middle Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Jeff Saint avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
