Basketball Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia lost against Vanguard College Prep back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Concordia Cardinals took a blow against the Vanguard College Prep Vikings, falling 59-12. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1323rd, while the Vikings are ranked 534th).

Concordia has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Vanguard College Prep, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Concordia will challenge Round Rock Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vanguard College Prep, they will face off against Brazos Christian at 12:00 p.m. on January 25th.
