Alex Wise made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Braden Waring was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Eli Feld was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Mount Dora Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Trinity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 15-14 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their record now sits at 15-13.
