Riverside came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Gaffney, but Mayson Brizendine wouldn't allow it. The Indians came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Thursday thanks in part to Brizendine, who had 27 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Gaffney walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 22-25, 25-12, 25-20.

Riverside's loss came despite strong showings from Corinne Christopher and Kaitlyn Haroski. Christopher had 14 assists and eight digs, while Haroski had 16 assists and 11 digs.

Gaffney has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10-2 record this season. As for Riverside, their record is now 17-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gaffney is set to challenge their familiar foe Dorman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Riverside will square off against rival Boiling Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
