Salem and Bayside are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Sundevils will venture away from home to face off against the Marlins at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Salem's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Salem is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Landstown on Tuesday. The Sundevils and the Eagles finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Bayside fell victim to Kempsville and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Chiefs. The loss continues a trend for Bayside in their meetings with Kempsville: they've now lost five in a row.

Salem's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-1. As for Bayside, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Salem skirted past Bayside 2-1 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sundevils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
