Port Jervis put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Saugerties Sawyers 48-14. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Sawyers are ranked 221st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dylan Fox was his usual excellent self, rushing for 111 yards and five scores, while also throwing for 280 yards and one TD while completing 81% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in December of 2024. Amato Natale was another key player, gaining 164 total yards and a touchdown.

Port Jervis' win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Saugerties, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Port Jervis didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 31-6 defeat against Minisink Valley on the 24th. As for Saugerties, they will take on New Paltz at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
