Football Recap: Gam T and Mikenson Demezier Secure Win for Golden Gate

Golden Gate's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Island Coast Gators 29-6. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 36-6 win the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2020.

Leading Golden Gate to victory were Mikenson Demezier and Gam T. Demezier rushed for 108 yards and one score, while T picked up 48 receiving yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Golden Gate was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 244 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

The victory got Golden Gate back to even at 1-1. As for Island Coast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Golden Gate will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gulf Coast at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Island Coast, they will square off against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
