Baseball Recap: Dover Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Dover posted their closest victory since March 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hanover Nighthawks 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Dover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Hare, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Hare has posted since back in April of 2024. Jimmy Ehrlinger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Hanover, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Dover will square off against Dallastown at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hanover, they have already played their next match, a 15-3 victory against York County Tech on the 16th.
