Volleyball Recap: Cheshire Rams vs. Woodstock Academy Centaurs
Cheshire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Woodstock Academy Centaurs by a score of 3-2.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cheshire sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 19-25, 15-13.
Woodstock Academy was led to victory by Gianna Musumeci and Dorisabel Mojica. Musumeci had 12 digs, while Mojica had 18 digs, ten kills, and two aces. Mojica is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season.
Cheshire's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Woodstock Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheshire has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Shelton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodstock Academy, they will welcome Suffield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
