Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Matthew Sandoval stepped things up a notch to give Irvine the 'W'. Sandoval scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.

Sandoval's strong effort led Irvine over Woodbridge and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vaqueros will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 197 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
