Softball Recap: Northlake Christian's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

If Northlake Christian was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Haynes Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 17-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Sydney Fraher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Northlake Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11. As for Loranger, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northlake Christian will take on Franklinton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loranger, they will challenge Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
