Basketball Game Preview: Menard Yellowjackets vs. Leakey Eagles

The Menard Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Leakey Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Menard will be looking to extend their current 19-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Menard humbled Paint Rock with a 75-17 victory. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Leakey came up short against Falls City on Tuesday and fell 36-28. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leakey's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Menard, their victory bumped their record up to 22-3.

Everything came up roses for Menard against Leakey in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 52-18 win. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
