Recap: Bowie Pirates vs. Maud Cardinals
The Bowie Pirates won the last time they faced the Maud Cardinals, and things went their way on Thursday too. Bowie took down Maud 51-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bowie.
Maud lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mallorie Bishop, who scored 18 points. That was a full 52.9% of Maud's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Osborne, who scored eight points.
Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Maud, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bowie will take on Detroit at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Maud, they will head out on the road to square off against Harts Bluff at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
