While Fayette's win against Paris wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Coyotes on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now won four in a row.

Kaleb Friebe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Thomas Elliott, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Quint, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Fayette's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Paris, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Fayette and Paris could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Falcons will square off against Tipton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (429 vs. 176). Meanwhile, Paris (ranked 425th) will meet Westran (ranked 139th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
