Cloudcroft and Mescalero Apache are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2022, but not for long. The Bears will head out to square off against the Chiefs at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Cloudcroft ended up a good deal behind Capitan and lost 61-47.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-36, which was the final score in Mescalero Apache's tilt against Mesilla Valley Christian School on Tuesday. The Chiefs haven't had much luck with the SonBlazers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mescalero Apache's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-13. As for Cloudcroft, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Cloudcroft skirted past Mescalero Apache 49-47 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
