Everything went their way against the Colonel Crawford Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 15-3 win. The Cubs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Anthony Fanello made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Atticus Hall was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Rayden Caudill, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
