Basketball Recap: Richland Center Comes Up Short

Richland Center lost against Lancaster back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Richland Center Hornets received a blow as they fell 79-62 to the Lancaster Flying Arrows.

Richland Center has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. The victory made it two in a row for Lancaster and bumps their season record up to 14-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland Center will welcome Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Iowa-Grant at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Lancaster's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
