Basketball Recap: Elkhart Takes a Loss

Elkhart was the 55-48 winner over Lovelady when they last played one another on December 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Elkhart Elks took a 33-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lovelady Lions. The game marked the Elks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Elkhart has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Lovelady, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.

Elkhart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-43 defeat against Crockett on the 27th. As for Lovelady, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-33 loss against New Waverly on the 27th.
