The Del Sol Dragons will square off against the Spring Valley Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Del Sol was handed a 36-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 victory over Pinecrest Academy Cadence. The win was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ameer Williams went supernova, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Del Sol's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
Del Sol didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Williams and Isaiah Medrano.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Spring Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Valley 29-6 on Friday. Considering the Grizzlies have won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Del Sol better keep an eye on Antwan Osborne. He was instrumental in Spring Valley's win, rushing for 96 yards and one TD on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 94 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. King Kahalewai was in the mix too, providing the Grizzlies with two scores.
Spring Valley's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB five times. Valley's QB won't forget Lito Olivas anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Olivas is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Kahalewai got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Del Sol, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-3.
Del Sol and Spring Valley were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, but Del Sol came up empty-handed after a 13-12 defeat.
