Volleyball Recap: Hanahan Hawks vs. Hartsville Red Foxes
Hanahan's tournament run continued when they took on Hartsville on Saturday. The Hawks fell just short of the Red Foxes by a score of 2-1.
Makenna Gallus paced Hanahan's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gallus got some help from Juliette Owens and her 30 assists.
Ava Wilcox was the offensive standout of the game as she had 18 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.
Hanahan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Hartsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Hanahan will be playing at home against Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Stags at the right time seeing as the Stags are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hartsville, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Cane Bay on the 30th.
