Kalskag proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Tuluksak Wolverines 2-1. The Grizzly Bears haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (58-51) Kalskag actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-21, 11-25, 15-12.

Kalskag's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Kalskag and Tuluksak will both be playing Aniak the next time they take the court. The Grizzly Bears will head out to face the Halfbreeds at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will head out to face them on Friday.
