Softball Recap: Eagle Mustangs vs. Middleton Vikings

After a string of six wins, Eagle's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middleton Vikings. Eagle was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Middleton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Hayleigh Oliver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Ellie McManigal was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with a home run.

On Middleton's side, Laney Leavitt was a standout: she went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Taylee Hunt, who went 1-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base.
