Volleyball Recap: Morgan County Beats Athens Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Morgan County won the last time they faced Athens Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs skirted past the Spartans 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Spartans since August 22, 2019.

Morgan County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 15-12.

Abby Dennard paced Morgan County's offense, picking up nine kills. Dennard also shared the team's lead in assists with Graycen Cawthon: they picked up nine each. Camryn Scherer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
