Basketball Game Preview: Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars vs. Albuquerque Bulldogs

The Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Albuquerque Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Atrisco Heritage Academy lost to Manzano on the road by a 60-46 margin. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Albuquerque came tearing into Saturday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 49-37 win over the Cougars. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 45-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Atrisco Heritage Academy better keep an eye on Lailah Bouldin. She was instrumental in Albuquerque's win, going 7 for 10 en route to 17 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Abby Pavia, who posted ten points and six boards.

Albuquerque is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Things could have been worse for Atrisco Heritage Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-42 loss to Albuquerque in their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
