Volleyball Recap: Overhills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Knightdale on Monday, Overhills came back down to earth. The Jaguars came up short against the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 25-18.

Ashley Diebler was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 26 assists and three digs. Those 26 assists gave her a new career-high. Julia Needell also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Overhills now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Holly Springs, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

While Overhills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
