Stratford and Weston are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Red Devils will head out to take on the Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Stratford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Stratford barely beat Joel Barlow the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Devils blew past the Falcons 14-5 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.
Morgan Letizia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carolyne Burlone and Shyan Rolle did most of the damage at the plate: Burlone went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI, while Rolle went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. What's more, Burlone posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Riley Dicks, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Stratford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Weston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-0 to Immaculate. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.
Stratford's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Weston, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Weston's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stratford hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. It's a different story for Weston, though, as they've only averaged .250. Will they be able to contain Stratford's hitters?
Stratford took their win against Weston when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
