Football Recap: Geneva Classical Academy's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

The third road contest was the charm for Geneva Classical Academy, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They secured a 56-52 W over the Lake Mary Prep Griffins on Friday.

Geneva Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bennett Bayhan, who picked up 324 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 75 yards and one TD. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Bayhan a new career-high. Clay Lindsay was another key signal caller, throwing for 424 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt.

Geneva Classical Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wyatt Edwards and Eli Smith. Another thorn in Lake Mary Prep's side was Caleb Causey, who forced two fumbles, made 17 total tackles (3.0 for loss), and defended one pass.

Geneva Classical Academy's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Lake Mary Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Geneva Classical Academy will face off against Real Life Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Raptors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will venture away from home to square off against All Saints' Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 8.8 points per game this season, so the Griffins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
