Volleyball Recap: Archbishop Chapelle Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Archbishop Chapelle unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Fontainebleau Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The Chipmunks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Archbishop Chapelle actually scored more points across those three sets (65-57), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-22, 20-18.

Despite the loss, Archbishop Chapelle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aubrey Frey had seven digs and five aces.

Archbishop Chapelle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Fontainebleau, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Archbishop Chapelle has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against E.D. White on the 21st. As for Fontainebleau, they will head out to take on St. Scholastica at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
