Soccer Recap: Shady Spring Starts Season with Victory Against Webster County

Shady Spring had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Webster County Highlanders on Thursday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Shady Spring hit Webster County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Evan Rivera (4), Andrew Bahr (2), and Micah Smith (2).

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shady Spring will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Webster County, they will host Braxton County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
