Basketball Recap: Eddie Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Waxahachie over Skyline

Waxahachie was the 92-67 winner over Skyline when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Waxahachie Indians fell to the Skyline Raiders 59-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Raiders are ranked 487th).

Waxahachie lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eddie Williams, who posted ten points. Christian Brown was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points.

Waxahachie's defeat dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Skyline, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-19.

Waxahachie will challenge Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Waxahachie surely won't give up without a fight. As for Skyline, they will square off against DeSoto at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
