Volleyball Recap: Van Buren Takes a Loss

Van Buren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Farmington Cardinals. The Pointers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Van Buren actually scored more points across those five sets (106-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 20-25, 15-10.

Van Buren's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Farmington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Van Buren will face off against Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Farmington, they will be playing at home against Pea Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
