West Linn had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Sheldon Irish on Friday. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Irish, too.

Despite the loss, Sheldon still got an impressive performance from Kelsen Sperry, who threw for 186 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score.

The victory was the fourth in a row for West Linn, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.8 points. As for Sheldon, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 10-1 record.

West Linn will square off against Lake Oswego at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Oswego is on a five-game streak of home wins, West Linn a eight-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
