Show Low is 9-1 against Payson since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cougars will square off against the Longhorns at 6:00 p.m. Show Low is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Show Low easily dispatched San Tan Foothills on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Cougars fell just short of Snowflake by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Show Low saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Hatch, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Payson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-2 to Apache Junction, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Show Low's record is now 10-6. As for Payson, their record now sits at 8-6.

Show Low skirted past Payson 8-7 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
