Volleyball Recap: Holtville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Calipatria on Thursday, Holtville came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the Roseville Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

Kadence Toten paced Holtville's offense, picking up seven kills. Toten got some help from Joslynn Knight and her eight assists. Toten was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Holtville's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Roseville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Coincidentally, Holtville and Roseville will both be playing Cristo Rey the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
