Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Estrella Foothills Wolves.

Isabella Meagher paced Mountain Pointe's offense, picking up six kills. Meagher got some help from Amirah Rankin and her six assists.

Estrella Foothills was led to victory by Gabby Coronado and Giselle Wochner. Coronado had seven digs and two aces, while Wochner had five digs. That's the most digs Wochner has posted over her last six matches.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Estrella Foothills, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Mountain Pointe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Snowflake on the 3rd. As for Estrella Foothills, they have also already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against Canyon View on the 3rd.
