Volleyball Recap: Lamoni Comes Up Short

Lamoni was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Ayr Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Lamoni's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Mount Ayr, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamoni and Mount Ayr will both be playing Mid-Buchanan the next time they take the court. The Raiders will head out to face the Dragons at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Demons will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
