Softball Recap: Porterville Takes a Loss

Porterville lost against Tulare Union back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Tribe by a score of 10-8.

Maddisyn Montecinos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jeanise Bell, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Porterville has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Tulare Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Porterville has already played their next game, a 5-2 loss against Tehachapi on the 28th. As for Tulare Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-2 defeat against Coalinga on the 28th.
