Volleyball Recap: Gracie Jenkins Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat the Burlington School

Eastern Alamance not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on The Burlington School Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2021.

Eastern Alamance's got stronger as the match went on, holding The Burlington School to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-10.

Eastern Alamance's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Jenkins, who had 12 digs and two assists. Jenkins is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Hannah Batista was another key player, getting three digs and three aces.

Eastern Alamance was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Eastern Alamance now has a winning record of 3-2. As for The Burlington School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Eastern Alamance didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Person on the 26th. As for The Burlington School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Henderson Collegiate on the 27th.
