Baseball Preview: Bell County Bobcats vs. South Laurel Cardinals
The Bell County Bobcats will head out to challenge the South Laurel Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bell County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
Bell County lost 15-5 to First Coast on Wednesday.

Brayden Carroll put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Bell County is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-4 otherwise. Carroll was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.
Carroll wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Walters, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, South Laurel is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Strongsville. The Cardinals took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Cardinals couldn't push the score so high this time.
Having lost for the first time this season, South Laurel fell to 7-1. As for Bell County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Bell County might still be hurting after the 12-1 defeat they got from South Laurel in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
