Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Medical Lake

The Lakeside Eagles will take on the Medical Lake Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lakeside is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Northwest Christian School just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 1-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Medical Lake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Colville 3-2. The win continues a trend for Medical Lake in their matchups with Colville: they've now won eight in a row.

Medical Lake's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-2.

Everything went Lakeside's way against Medical Lake in their previous meeting on April 14th, as Lakeside made off with a 6-1 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
