Christian Academy is 10-0 against Florence Christian since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Christian Academy Saints will host the Florence Christian Eagles at 7:45 p.m. Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Northmont on Friday. Christian Academy fell to Northmont 51-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Saints came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 89th in South Carolina, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 474th in Ohio).

Meanwhile, Florence Christian posted their biggest win since November 19, 2024 on Monday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Faith Christian 69-49. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Florence Christian's win came from a few key players Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Riley Minton, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points and four steals. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Greene, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 20 points and five assists.

Florence Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Christian only racked up six assists.

Christian Academy's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5. As for Florence Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
