Pioneer entered their tilt with Vacaville Christian on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Falcons 3-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

One reason for the win was Pioneer's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-13.

Layla Medalle had an outrageously good game as she had 16 digs and three aces. What's more, she posted three assists, the most she's had over her last ten contests.

Medalle wasn't the only good server: Pioneer was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive games.

Pioneer's victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Pioneer is taking a road trip to take on Davis Sr. at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vacaville Christian, they will face off against Pierce at 6:00 p.m. on September 4.
