Softball Recap: Thornton Fractional South Takes a Loss

Thornton Fractional South had lost six straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-23 to make it seven. They lost 21-6 to the Reavis Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Wolves of the 15-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

As for Reavis, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Reavis' part, Sienna Aragones was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Aragones has posted since back in April of 2024. Thalia Jimenez was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five RBI and two runs.

Coming up, Thornton Fractional South will host Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Reavis, they are taking a road trip to challenge Riverside-Brookfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
