Basketball Recap: Streetsboro Skates Past Springfield with Ease

Streetsboro posted their biggest win since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 69-16 victory over the Springfield Spartans. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Streetsboro's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Batten, who went 5 for 8 en route to 13 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Batten is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Miles Kobie also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Streetsboro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Streetsboro's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Springfield, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
