It was a good run, but High Point unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a hard 45-26 fall against the Vernon Vikings. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

High Point's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Vernon, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the High Point Wildcats take on the Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Vernon, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hackettstown at 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
