After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Warren Hills Regional, Rahway was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Hillside Comets get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Jaylynn Soto was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Rahway got a massive performance out of Gloria Garay, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Garay has posted since back in May. Another player making a difference was Amanda Lebers, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Rahway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are 13-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rahway has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Hillside, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

As of now, neither Rahway nor the Comets have any future games scheduled.
