Recap: Big Horn Rams vs. Sundance Bulldogs
The Big Horn Rams lost against the Sundance Bulldogs back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Big Horn took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sundance. Big Horn has struggled against Sundance recently, as their match on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Saydee Zimmer, who scored 13 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zimmer has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emme Mullinax, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Sundance got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexie Marchant out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Marchant scored 15 or more points. Jaylin Mills was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Big Horn has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Sundance, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Big Horn will play host again and welcome Wright, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sundance, Sundance and Moorcroft will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Moorcroft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
