Recap: Travis vs. Smithville

Travis had a rough outing against Smithville, losing 56 - 7.

Smithville's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. That put it at a 28 - 7 advantage. Its success only continued in the second half, where it racked up an additional 28 points.

Zachary Kirby and Nomar E. rivera were the main playmakers for Smithville as Kirby ran for 96 yards and also punched in two touchdowns and E. rivera picked up 137 yards on the ground. Brice Drisdale was in the mix too, providing Smithville with two touchdowns.

The defeat makes it one more game for Travis (0-3) without a win. Smithville kept its perfect season alive and rose to 3-0.

Both Smithville and Travis will be guarding their home fields in their upcoming games. Smithville will face off against Royal Friday at 7:30 PM. Meanwhile, Travis will battle it out against Eastside Memorial on Friday at 7:30 PM.
