Softball Recap: Haynesville Comes Up Short

Haynesville fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Plain Dealing on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 19-15 to the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 two weeks ago.

This is the second loss in a row for Haynesville and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Plain Dealing, their record is now 7-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Haynesville will head out to take on Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Plain Dealing, they will venture away from home to challenge Mansfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
