Soccer Game Preview: Homer vs. Palmer

The Homer Mariners will face off against the Palmer Moose at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Homer is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Palmer, who was ranked 11th at the time (Homer was ranked 19th). The Mariners fell just short of the Moose by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Palmer's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4-1. As for Homer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.
